Sonja Britt Borgstrom, M.D., is a family medicine physician with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Dr. Borgstrom’s areas of clinical interest and expertise include preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine and plant-based diets, telemedicine and women’s health. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, Dr. Borgstrom was an assistant professor in family medicine in Portland, Oregon from 2014 through 2018, and practiced as an urgent care physician in the DC metropolitan area from 2019 through 2024. As a primary care physician, she prioritizes making patients feel welcome, safe, listened to and respected while thoughtfully applying her education and experience to identify and address preventative needs or acute medical problems.  Dr. Borgstrom was raised in Northern Virginia. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, animal rescue and travel.
