Charlotte Gopinath, M.D., is an internal medicine physician with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Dr. Gopinath’s areas of clinical interest include preventative medicine, chronic disease management and health policy. She has a patient-centered approach rooted in shared decision-making, and is committed to improving access to equitable, high-quality care for the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia metropolitan (DMV) community. Dr. Gopinath completed the primary care track at the George Washington University Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. During residency, she contributed to quality improvement initiatives focused on hypoglycemia prevention and colorectal cancer screening. She earned her doctor of medicine from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Her honors include the Phillip S. Birnbaum Award in Primary Care, the Dean’s Special Recognition Medical Student Award, the USC Renaissance Scholarship Prize and designation as a USC Trustee Scholar. Dr. Gopinath enjoys classical music and spending time outdoors.
